Product Description (Men's Troentorp Bastad Clogs Monet)

Troentorp clogs have been handcrafted in the Bastad region of Sweden since our start in 1907. Our clogs feature an orthopedically constructed foot bed that supports even weight distribution with a soft step, helping reduce lower back strain and leg and foot discomfort. Shaped to exact measurements, the cowhide leather uppers are wet-lasted and use hand-hammered stainless steel nails to attach to the moisture-resistant alder wood foot bed, which has a raised heel and an anatomically correct scaphoid metatarsal arch and toe well. Each clog features a 1" heat-bonded polyurethane sole and certified non-skid (ASTM 1677-Mark II) tread. This clog is Sustainably Made, and Slip-Resistant (Non-Skid Certified ASTM 1677-Mark II).

Heel Height: 2"

Fit: True to size. If you have a wide foot or high instep, for an accurate fit we recommend purchasing a 1/2 size larger than you typically purchase. For example, if you normally purchase a size 7 - 1/2, we recommend purchasing a size 8.

I am a Certified Executive Chef with 2 restaurants and have been wearing Troentorp Bastad's since 1988. I purchased the Monet in Cherry color and wear them everyday, all day. I will be buying many more pairs of shoes for myself, employees, friends and family!

Bought these for my husband who cooks a lot on a hard floor that's on a slab. He always watches Mario Batali in his dumb looking red clogs and says he wouldn't wear them even if he was a clown. After he tried these he had a new opinion of clogs, Not only are they good looking, but his back pain after hours of cooking is 90% better.

These are very supportive and protective clogs for people who are on their feet a great deal. They fit the foot perfectly and are more comfortable than no shoes at all. They are also stylish looking.

I use these clogs as a physician in the intensive care unit and operating room where I stand for 8 hrs a day. These clogs are comfortable, durable, & look great. Wood soles offer superior support and the fact that they are still made in Sweden by hand is also a nice plus.Note: buy a half size smaller than what you wear (example if you where a 44 / size 10) get a 43/9.5 as these or open back clogs and your heel will fit better. Not a great clog for running (duh) but amazing for general purpose use for anyone who spends lots of time on their feet standing all day. Highly recommended. ---Shoebuy.com also was also very easy and responsive to work with on-line AND over the phone for me.
